Have you ever heard someone share a personal story of overcoming that moved you to tears?

The person doesn't have to be a polished speaker for their words to cut straight through the heart and mind of the listener. All they have to do is be genuine and honest.

We all face trials in life, but the ones who come out on the other side victorious have a story to tell. Their words can give hope to the still struggling, still suffering listeners that if Jesus delivered one person, then He can do it for them, as well. That's the power of a testimony.

There's a spiritual anointing that flows when a person begins to share how Jesus carried them through the fire and delivered them from a hopeless situation. This anointing carries spiritual authority, and it has the power to transform the listeners. You know it when you hear it because you can feel it all around you. What you're feeling is the Holy Spirit moving. This anointing can't be purchased, but it does come at a price that most aren't willing to pay.

When anointing oil is made, olives are crushed to release the juices inside the olives. You can't get the oil without the crushing.

Spiritual anointing has a similar process.

You can't have a testimony without a test. The tests we go through in life are the crushing that allows the spiritual anointing to flow when we share our testimonies with others. The pain and suffering we endure has a purpose when we invite Jesus to take control of our lives.

Whether you've overcome addiction or you're a survivor of abuse, the very thing you thought would kill you has given you a testimony that will help others see that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (Jn 14:6).

If you're going through a difficult season and it feels like the weight of everything you're going through is crushing you, just remember, Jesus won't let a single drop go to waste. He's collecting your tears and preparing the spiritual anointing that will make you an overcomer who inspires others to keep fighting.

Like I said earlier, most people aren't willing to pay the price. The ones who have paid the price know just how precious and powerful the words of their testimonies are! Every word was purchased by the Blood of the Lamb and the painful tears of a person who didn't let the world have the final say!
