For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes - 2 Peter 1:16 (NLT).

Can you imagine what it would have been like to walk beside Jesus for three years?

The healings, the feedings, having Emanuel - God with us, right there beside you. The Apostle John said this in his Gospel account, Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written. - John 21:25 (NLT). Day after day; Night after night. Miracles, signs, and wonders. From the empty grave to the resurrected Savior.

Peter saw his fair share of majestic splendor.

Peter didn’t mince words with his statement in this week’s key verse. The accounts we read in the Gospels are not stories. They are eyewitness accounts from real people who witnessed the Glory of Jesus Christ firsthand. Peter saw Him walk on water; Peter was there for the transfiguration; Peter saw Him raise the dead.

The apostles didn’t just know about Jesus; They knew Him on a very personal and intimate level. They had a relationship with Him. It’s through our relationship with Jesus that we see the work He is doing firsthand, not hear say, but we become living breathing eyewitnesses.

For me personally, I've seen mothers reunited with their children, family relationships become restored, and broken people gently put back together by the Creator. I've seen people who couldn't look you in the eye become bold preachers who stare down the devil every day. I've seen people who were never going to change become transformed into new creations in Christ. I've seen the lights come on in the eyes of a person who was lost in the darkness of addiction, bad parents turned into Sunday school teachers, and cancer diagnoses turned into miraculous testimonies.

It's safe to say I've seen too much not to believe.

I don't have to hear it from someone else; I'm an eyewitness to His majestic splendor. He's done things in my life that only God can do, so don't tell me He can't help you or your loved one.

These aren't made up, clever stories; They are the real-life testimonies of people who are eyewitnesses to the Lord's majestic splendor. Do you know Jesus or just know about Him? Knowing the stories in the Bible and having a personal relationship with Jesus are not the same. Get to know Him on an intimate level and you too will see what He can do!

God Bless!!
