The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT).

The struggle is REAL. Nobody said living for God was easy. Trials, tribulations, and temptations, a.k.a. "the struggle," make us question God and everything we believe. It's not confined to a certain group of people or an economic class. It's not unique to a specific church or denomination. The struggle is no respecter of persons, and it doesn't care whether you're trying to do good or not; whether you're helping others or barely getting by. The struggle is real and it seems to be attacking Christians a little more lately.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul was writing to a church body who knew their share of struggles. The Corinthian church was dealing with divisions among the believers, infidelity, financial difficulties, false teachers, and social pressures. They were no strangers to how real the struggle could be. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, Paul encouraged the church by reminding them that they weren't unique or alone in their struggles. He reminded them that God is faithful and that He won't ever put more on them than they could stand. He went on to speak of faith, hope, and love: the 3 main components in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We cannot silence, ignore, or avoid the struggles in life, so we need to bring them into relationship with Jesus. The struggles that make us feel weak and insecure about ourselves will only grow stronger until we lay them down in the presence of something greater. That something greater is the Spirit of the Living God living on the inside of us. But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. – 1 John 4:4 (NLT).

Jesus came to the earth to recover mankind from sin. He didn’t stand back and watch the world suffer; He stepped into the mess and conquered it. He does the same thing for us today. It’s not that we rid ourselves of our struggles, but that we invite Jesus into them with us. When we make room for Jesus to work, He shows us a way out so that we can endure anything the world throws at us, just like the Apostle Paul said. The same guy who wrote our keynote verse also wrote, No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. – Romans 8:37 (NLT).

So today, I want to encourage you that you're not broken or alone. The struggle may be real, but Jesus is more real and more than able. He is faithful; He is available; He is waiting on you to let Him into your struggle. God Bless!
