"There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid." - Proverbs 30:18-19 (KJV).
Throughout the Bible, writers describe how they could see God's presence by looking no further than His creation. The author of Proverbs 30, Agur, described God's presence in the mystery of how the eagle flies, how the serpent moves, how the tides and wind can carry a ship across the sea, and the miracle of life being created between a man and a woman.
Shevon and I love enjoying God's creation on our days off. Whether we go on a drive through the country, or floating on the river, God's presence is all around us. But for us, the greatest example of God's presence is when we see the miracle turn around God can do in a person's life when they have let go and let God have control of the situation.
We have seen a 12-year-old girl's desire to attend church that led to her entire family getting saved.
We have seen a career criminal, who "was never going to change," give his life to Jesus in jail and start leading other men to the Lord.
We have seen a Stage-4 cancer survivor who couldn't have kids, but now has a family of four.
Life-long addicts who gave control over to Jesus and are now sober for the first time in their lives.
Parents who lost their children because of drugs, put the pieces of their lives back together and be in their kids' lives.
Life breathed back into dead situations.
Addicts redeemed!
Lives saved!
Miracles!
Signs!
Wonders!
Hallelujah! I'm fired up writing this!! God's presence is all around us! Just open your eyes and look around! The battle has already been won! I love how Peter put it in 2 Peter 1:16, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty." (KJV).
We didn't have the pleasure of walking the earth with Jesus, but Shevon and I have definitely been eyewitnesses of His majesty in not only our lives, but in the lives of the people in our everyday life! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! (Hebrews 13:8). His presence and miracle working power is evident all around us! All you have to do is give whatever you're going through to Jesus and watch what He can do! God Bless!!
