"When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek." - Psalm 27:8 (KJV).

Technology is so amazing. This was never on display more than this past holiday season. I would receive a phone call from Shevon, who was out braving the cold and the crowds (take your pick on which store), but the calls would go something like this:

Shevon: "Babe, you've got to see this!"

Me: "What is it?"

Shevon: "Hold on, I'm gonna FaceTime you..."

...and three seconds later...BAM! I'm looking at the same thing Shevon is looking at! It was like I was right there in the store with her. Only there were no crowds and no cold temps, only sweatpants, my living room, and my wife's beautiful face on the screen of my phone! No stressing out over the pushy shoppers or fighting over parking spots. No angry store employees or bad Santa Claus impersonators. Just me and our family dog, Sasha. For those of you wondering, Shevon loves Christmas shopping! She actually gets excited for it. As for me, I have a tendency to add stress to the shopping experience! (Shevon actually prefers me to stay home!)

Wouldn't it be nice to have the same kind of access to Jesus? You know, when your patience is being tested or you're getting stressed about life? Just dial up the Creator of the universe and show Him what's going on in your life. We do! It's called prayer! The Apostle Paul tells us in Hebrews 4:16,"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." (NLT). I'm loving the "when we need it most" part! No busy signals. No call waiting. Jesus is always available and willing to take your call!

Listen, we live in a time when our cell phones are continually in our hands but imagine how much better our lives would be if prayers were continually on our lips. If we're going to 'Come Alive In '25!' then prayer has to be at the top of our to-do list. Make it His face you're seeking this year! He's waiting patiently to hear from you! God Bless!
