About Savage2Saint Ministries

Real people. Real struggles. Real freedom through Jesus Christ.

Founded by
Kevin & Shevon Young

My wife, Shevon, and I are living proof that change is possible. We have dealt firsthand with addiction, depression, and abuse. We know the struggles that come from trying to live in a bound, bruised, and broken world. Our mission is to help those who are still suffering by pointing them to the only One who can truly help: Jesus Christ.

Shane and Marie Hastings have been married for 35 years and are blessed with two daughters, Blake and Kaylie McCabe and Ben and Sydnie Cullison, four treasured grandchildren—Jace, Luke, Olivia, and Oaklynn. They live in Doniphan, Missouri, where they are passionate about serving God, loving their family, and helping others discover the freedom that only Jesus Christ can give.Their story is one of redemption.Marie began attending church in 2011 after years of battling depression, anxiety, and hopelessness. Although she had spent many years on medication for manic depression, she longed for something more than simply surviving. Through a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, she found healing, hope, and a love she had never known before. The bitterness and despair that once defined her life were replaced with peace, joy, and purpose.Shane’s journey began in 2012. After struggling with alcoholism and addiction to pain pills for much of his adult life, he never believed he had a real problem or that his life needed to change. He wasn’t searching for God when he agreed to attend church with his family one evening—but that single decision changed everything. Jesus completely transformed his heart and life, setting him free from addiction and giving him a new purpose.Together, God restored their marriage, their home, and their lives. Out of that restoration, He placed a burden in their hearts to help others experience the same freedom they have found through Jesus Christ.Today, Shane and Marie serve as the Recovery Pastors at West Point UPC and are passionate supporters of Compass Recovery. With more than 13 years of ministry experience, they are committed to walking alongside individuals and families as they pursue healing, restoration, and lasting freedom. While they hold no formal counseling certifications, they minister from personal experience and a deep conviction that Jesus still transforms lives.Outside of ministry, Shane and Marie enjoy gardening, cooking together, spending time with their children and grandchildren, and simply doing life together. Those who know them best describe them as faithful, dependable, and trustworthy.Their greatest desire is for every person who walks through the doors of West Point Recovery to know they are loved, welcomed, and never beyond the reach of God’s grace. No matter how broken your past may seem, there is hope.As they often remind others:“With Jesus there is always hope, and nothing is impossible with Him.”“Not one promise from God is empty of power. Nothing is impossible with God!” — Luke 1:37 TPT

Thank you!
